Parra is pretty awesome and so this collaboration with Stussy works on many many levels for me.
In this video Stussy brings us into the world of Parra and why he draws chubby ladies with beaks…

We want to see your photos of VNA stickers up in interesting places.
Send your entries to ro@verynearlyalmost.com with the subject ‘STICKER COMP’ before the 15th March and the winner will get a limited edition issue 18.
Entries will be judged on a whole range of criteria; originality, location, photography, general awesomeness, shit that makes us laugh.. whatever you think will win us over, do it.
If you haven’t got any stickers you can always grab them from our shop.
Good luck.. and please don’t send huge files!
*VNA does not condone illegal activity. Don’t do anything stupid yo!*
The first in a series of short interviews, ‘Gone In 60 Seconds’; this is Beastman. One of the most prolific artists in Australia, he is also a big favourite at VNA. The Beast has had huge sell-out solo shows, work at Outpost, and, most recently, designed for Smirnoff Vodka. Here’s a few words from the man himself…

Tell us a little bit about your style, where does it come from, what are your influences?
My style is a result of years and years of drawing characters from a young age, I’m not really sure where it comes from. I try not to be influenced by other artists work, I have always strived to find a style that is totally different and unique, but I guess my work is loosely influenced by nature, other worlds, mythology, symmetry and the future.
Who is the funniest person you paint with?
YOK or Creepy, those Perth lads are always a laugh.
More after the jump…
Our man Seth sent us some flicks of this new Insa piece in Birmingham the other day. We thought it would be nice to share it with you…
LARGE. Cheers Seth.
Our man Veng sent us over a sneak peek of a piece he is showing at a new show at CAVE Gallery opening next week. Looks good….
Go check it out if you can…
We spotted a few of these JR pieces in LA last year and now we see it all together as a rather nice video piece…
First it was Amsterdam, then Sydney and Melbourne and now the latest city to be swamped with VNA stickers looks to be Rome.
In conjunction with our issue 17 cover feature, we’ve got one of these fantastic ‘Stay tuff New York’ prints to give away thanks to The London Police. It’s an edition of 77, signed and screen printed on 410GSM Somerset Archival Paper.
To enter all you have to do is watch our recent TLP video and answer the following question:
How many years ago did The London Police move to Amsterdam?
Email your answers to ro@verynearlyalmost.com with TLP COMP as the subject before the 8th Feb to be in with a chance of winning.
Good luck!
