If you want to talk about someone who has blown up recently, look no further than Belgium’s Roa, the trained veterinarian turned international jet setting artist. VNA caught up with him while he was in London and discussed anatomy, installations and the beauty in decay.
Not settling for just one big name, VNA 12 also featured some serious Stateside talent in the bright pink and drippy form of Buff Monster and the more subdued clash of graffiti, graphic design and human studies of BLK/MRKT founder Dave Kinsey.
Hopping back across the Atlantic we caught up with one the UK’s very best – Mr Jago. How this guy isn’t absolutely massive and selling out shows left, right and centre is a mystery to us. We talked to the Bristolian about how his work has developed from sketchbook doodles and more robotic characters into the abstract fine art he now produces with alarmingly brilliant consistency
Keeping with a truly global feel, Issue 12 hits South America with Bruno9li, Australia with The Yok and Europe with Polish artist M-City. Speaking of cities, there’s a little trip through one of Europe’s best cities for art and favourite VNA haunt, Amsterdam.
