The creation of Crown Street Cut Collective aficionado, DJ Klevakutz, the night aims to inject a fresh hit of flavour to the Sydney scene. As the DJ’s go head-to-head on the decks, each week also comes correct with a live paint on the night.

The first night kicks off with Days One (DCA) blessing the room with his unique style and effortless ability. Sydney born and bred, Days’ versatile, photorealistic spray-paint skills have led him to showcase work in streets, galleries, museums, cultural centres and publications throughout the world.

Red Bull Canvas Cooler Project

Londoners will be familiar with the Red Bull Cooler Canvas Project already, but Sydney-siders better recognise this is actually pretty legit.

Over the next month, big dog Marty Routledge has programmed a line up including artists Beastman, Numskull, Phibs, Roachy, Thomas Jackson, Will Lynes, Esjay, Brent Smith, Well Dressed Vandals, Kerupt and Peque, who will be turning mini Red Bull fridges into works of art, inspired by the look and feel of the bar.

Venues include Oxford Art Factory, Upstairs Beresford, Hunky Dory Social Club (license pending…), Bucket List, Lo Fi, El Loco, The Standard, The Flinders Hotel, The Norfolk Hotel, Cargo Lounge and Sugarmill.

It all kicks off tonight at Lofi – get down early to slurp some Red Bull, apparently it’ll give us wings, so afterwards we can fly to Ching-a-lings…

Ante Up

Come alive Sydney! We don’t usually read anything other than VNA Magazine, cos we all can’t read good and stuff, but we like Ante Magazine, it has pictures. It’s their Issue 2 Launch tonight Thursday 29/03/12 – 9.30 pm onwards at The Backroom in Syn City.

Plus, they have some of our favourite artists painting, live, with paint. Like Sprinkles. He’s sick. There’s something about Vans (the guys that invented skateboards out of bits of old prams) and Grand Scheme will be there too, doing an installation. Well Dressed Vandals will be suaving up the place and we will be there too with SHDS, kind of doing a reverse Jesus and turning Tiger beer into water.

Like Ante on facewaste if you think they’re any good Ante Magazine.
