as part of the Late Shows programming which channels over 10,000 people around the cities cultures traps, galleries, and museums. It’s this engine upon which we build ‘The Saint’. A dedicated body of work within the iconic landmark that is St Nicholas’ Cathedral here in the centre of Newcastle. We are presenting a hand full of our favourite artists, original work, selected pieces from our archive and commissioned photography. With specifically constructed scaffolding we will rig the work with bespoke lighting to great affect. Accompanying the beautiful works on display will be a line-up of specifically curated local music makers, live acoustic sets, and angelic additions.

The space is truly magical, so many break off areas, nooks, and crannies.

Unit44 x GAIA

Last month Unit44 had the pleasure of hosting Baltimore’s finest – GAIA.

Amidst a world tour ‘of sorts’ he is skipping from country to country looking for that two way dialogue between wall & mural echoing the locations natural narrative. True to form Gaia made reflection of housing project, and point of interest for the US artist, The Byker Wall. Shortly after he created his second piece of the trip; The Swan Lion Upon Africa. Each wall tells a story and stands immersed in social, economic, and political relevance if one is willing to look.
