He’s on a motherf*cking boat… M-City and Nuart present Ocean Art for Atlantic Offshore.
We caught up with French artist TILT while he was over in Stavanger, Norway, painting things for NUART Festival. The mural he painted is also available as a print release. Here’s what he had to say for himself…
Straight after finishing up his most recent large mural for Nuart Festival in Stavanger, Norway, Tilt announced the release the same image as limited edition print with PrintThemAll.com. This meaningful piece will be available in a low edition of only 80 pieces, measuring 72 x 73 cm, and will come signed and numbered by the French graffiti legend. This will also be his first lithograph, printed at the legendary Idem studio in Paris, the very same place that printed some classic art prints for such masters as Picasso, Matisse, Miro, or Chagall. Using 100% cotton paper and custom, hand mixed colors, this fine art edition is set to be a must have for any street art fan.
The release is scheduled for Tuesday 16th September @ 10:00 am GMT at PrintTheAll.com.
VNA were invited to check out NUART Festival in Norway, apart from being rainy and £10-a-beer expensive, it was also pretty good. These are some of the shots from Henrik Haven and Butterfly of what went on (mainly because they’re heaps better photographers than any of the VNA team)
This years event featured a mostly Euro-centric line-up, including Andreco, Borondo, Fra.Biancoshock, Dotdotdot, Etam Cru, Icy & Sot, Levalet, Martin Whatson, Mathieu Tremblin, Strøk, Spy, Tilt, M-City, Maismenos and John Fekner, as well as a rad wonky Scandi-house collab from Liam Hayhow & Epifany.

New wall from Faith47 entitled CHANT, painted at NUART in Norway.
Check out this video of Saber buffing his own work at Nuart Festival in a statement about the potential introduction of a zero tolerance policy to graffiti in the city of Stavanger.. where Nuart is held.. despite the fact that the council funds Nuart; more of the usual hypocritical bureaucratic nonsense we see constantly from city councils all over the world.
The video explains it all.
Language in it is NSFW.
It’s safe to say we are gutted not to be attending Nuart Festival this year – it opens this Saturday with an exhibition jam packed full of your favourite names in street art.
