Fluorescent Smogg present… COSMOGG

Notorious British artist Sickboy, alongside forward thinking collective, Fluorescent Smogg, has developed an old mechanics yard into a temporary gallery over the course of 6 months. Starting life as his personal studio, he has transformed the space into an immersive installation, featuring an all-star cast of artists.

Arms have been twisted and strings have been pulled all over the world to bring together some of the finest contemporary artists, each with their own unique style and skill-set.

The show will be an independently produced and all-enveloping alternate universe, running over the course of 10 days, with a carefully curated roster of events, timed print releases and originals available throughout the course of the showcase.

Limited editions dropping through to the week include an iridescent foil screen-print, ceramic pipes and enamel pin sets, super-limited micro-edition prints and some other surprises from Sickboy along the way, as well as an artist-curated outdoor cinema.

Exhibiting artists include: Mr Jago – Ben EINE – Xenz – Sickboy – Word To Mother – Broken Fingaz – Roid

Mudwig – The Seussian Rock Drill

No idea what’s going on here, but we love it…

Fluorescent Smogg present a new edition produced in collaboration with the elusive Daniel Sparkes, a.k.a. Mudwig.
An idiosyncratic monument to the shattering of a conceptual illusion. Jacob Epstein’s Rock Drill is reinvented as a Dr Seussian centrepiece for a Pizza Hut table feast; a multi-stylistic totem for crumbled empires and the fallen futurist vision.
A highly limited main edition of 13 beautiful etchings, accompanied by a further edition of only 5 which have been hand finished with gold leaf.

“The Seussian Rock Drill” is available now at:

Big ups to Tim Crawley & Mark Warrington on the video skillz.

Hexangle

Hexangle was a live art installation at Shambala Festival this summer and is now to be turned into a screen-print.

The concept behind the project, curated by Shambala and Sickboy, was to bring six international artists together at the festival and for them to each paint one side of the giant Hexangle Live Art Installation.

Kid Acne, Mudwig, Russell Maurice, Sickboy, Zoot and 45rpm painted the Hexangle at Shambala in August, with the whole installation limited to just three colours so that hand pulled screen prints could be produced from their work. Only 20 editions of each of the 6 sets of screen prints will be available on A2, 100% recycled paper and each print is signed by the artist and numbered.

These distinctive and limited edition prints, priced at £75 each, are available from Shambala’s new online shop here. All proceeds from the sale will go to the Banunule School for Orphans in Uganda.
