On November 17th, iconic graffiti artist FUTURA turned 60. To celebrate his birthday and decades worth of artistic output, MONTANA-CANS have created a special colourway, the FUTURA 2000 Black, as part of their Iconic Series. For the global pre-launch, FUTURA asked his friends at ACRONYM® to collaborate on an exclusive design to appear on the can, produced in a limited run and for this occasion only.
More and more Street Artists and Graffiti Writers find their way into the professional art world. They create a whole new market that grows with the interests of prominent buyers like Pharell or Swizz Beatz. At the same time these two worlds still seem very seperated and only a view Street-Artists are recognized by the Fine Art scene and galleries. During last years Art Basel week in Miami we met Revok, Shepard Fairey and Cleon Peterson, talked about their view on their own development and heard some interesting tips to make a career in the art world.

Austrian graffiti writer Nychos passed through London last month and even with loads of rain, overzealous council workers buffing a piece on a private wall (within hours of it being finished) and several days dealing with a mysterious illness, he managed to paint some amazing murals. Our guys João Retorta and Luke Atkinson were there to capture him in action. Check the video below…
A big thanks to Montana Gold for the paint hookup, Dscreet for the wall and the rest of you who helped make it happen.
