Ernest Zacharevic – Studio Visit – Henrik Haven

Henrik Haven recently took a trip to Ernest Zacharevic’s studio in Penang to snap some shots of him and Martin Whatson working on a new series of collaboration pieces for the Different Strokes group show.

Different strokes is a large group show curated by Giancarlo Petrucci (Graffiti Prints) in conjunction with Hin Bus Depot, which features new work by Ernest Zacharevic (Lithuania), Sandra Chevrier (Canada), Icy and Sot (Iran/NYC), Martin Whatson (Norway), Beejoir (UK), Alexface (Thailand), BON (Thailand), Snik (UK), Nafir (Iran), Sabek (Spain), Levalet (France), Roamcouch (Japan) and Gabriel Pitcher (UK) – more coverage of that coming soon!

NUART PLUS Festival – Photo Round-Up

VNA were invited to check out NUART Festival in Norway, apart from being rainy and £10-a-beer expensive, it was also pretty good. These are some of the shots from Henrik Haven and Butterfly of what went on (mainly because they’re heaps better photographers than any of the VNA team)

This years event featured a mostly Euro-centric line-up, including Andreco, Borondo, Fra.Biancoshock, Dotdotdot, Etam Cru, Icy & Sot, Levalet, Martin Whatson, Mathieu Tremblin, Strøk, Spy, Tilt, M-City, Maismenos and John Fekner, as well as a rad wonky Scandi-house collab from Liam Hayhow & Epifany.

Project M is a temporary art project with the objective to improve the neighborhood, to push creativity and to connect people. At regular intervals Urban Nation with director Yasha Young invites a group of internationally acclaimed contemporary urban artists to re-design the facade and shop windows of a prominent residential building in Berlin, while it is being reconstructed.
