VNA issue 22 Launch Party

We had a great time launching issue 22 of VNA on Thursday at The Outsiders Gallery, a huge thank you to everyone who came down grabbed a mag, drank plenty of Desperados and provided good company. Big thanks to the extended VNA crew for all their help, and to the Lazarides team, especially Alex Smith for organising it all and then of course we must thanks our drinks sponsor for the event… Desperados for keeping our thirst quenched and our evening merry. This is how it went down…

VNA Issue 21 Launch Party

Thanks to everyone who came down to support the launch of VNA issue 21 last night at StolenSpace Gallery. Especially those who took the time to queue in these harsh January conditions to get their hands on a limited edition copy.

It was a great night, beer was consumed, art was perused, magazines were thumbed through and and we hope some of you got a ‘Tonki’ to take home with you as well from our friends Wehangit who provided the eco-friendly visual stimulation for the evening. For those of you who didn’t make it, here’s how it went down.

Picture of the day…

London is in the middle of Obey fever right now! Shepard Fairey has been knocking out some fantastic street art and murals across the East end of our city in the build up to his solo exhibition at Stolenspace Gallery entitled Sound and Vision. With all this and London’s first ever pop up OBEY clothing store, its all Obey right now and thats all good in our books.

The exhibition opens tonight and the pop up store is already open and trading. There are a whole heap of great preview images from the show by Smart Hype HERE, but in the meantime, this is our picture of the day by Nolionsinengland

The guys at The Future Tense have again curated the exhibition for MTV RE:DEFINE event in Dallas. Its looking very nice. Some of the artists featured…  Charming Baker, Pedro Matos, Ryan McGinness, Parra,  Swoon, Juergen Teller and Dave White.

These are some of the stand out pieces for me anyway…

Michael Craig-Martin

Tomokazu Matsuyama

Ryan McGinness

Parra has also designed the t-shirts for the event. A great cause and a great looking exhibition/auction.
