Sickboy & Word to Mother – Paranoia on Paper

13th December, for one night only, 73 Kingsland Road will house a revolutionary insight into the collective twisted minds of Sickboy and Word to Mother in the form of an exhibition, installation and collaboration event. The evening will also mark the release of Sickboy & Word to Mother’s Box Set ‘Paranoia on Paper’ which includes a hand-bound book featuring never before seen sketches, photographs of London painting missions, comics and a tear out screen print. If this wasn’t enough it will all be accompanied by luxury hand-made Sickboy & Word to Mother bits and presented in bespoke boxes. This is really a collector’s dream as the box sets and extras are all limited.

Burning Ink London

Our friends at Beach London Gallery & Kids Love Ink East are to play host to a truly unique style of show curated by DC Europe. Burning Ink has previously been held in Paris, New York & Berlin and works on the concept that no-one will be taking any physical art home with them at the end of the show, and instead all the drawings will be burnt, the only way for them to survive is if someone buys a design and gets it tattooed onto their skin!

The event will run until the 31st March and opens tonight.

Thursday Evening

As we prepare our bodies for the onslaught of free alcohol and art appreciation that Thursday has in store for us, I thought I’d provide a brief rundown of what’s on offer in London tomorrow night.

Sickboy – Heaven & Earth
VNA 14 cover artist Sickboy opens his latest show at Number Six, Dray Walk. As well as an entirely new body of work, you can expect to see installations created in collaboration with some of the biggest names in Street Art & Graffiti, incuding D*Face, Eine, Anthony Lister, Conor Harrington and a whole host of others. As if this wasn’t impressive enough you will also be able to clamber into a confessional booth and regale your naughtiest stories (anonymously of course) to a Pastor, as part of one of the main interactive installations entitled CONFESS. All I’ve got to say is beware of eavesdroppers and alcohol induced verbal diarrhoea.
