We previously reported about refugee art charity fundraiser project, solidARTy.org, and we’re happy to see they are continuing their work in 2016. After taking a break over the holidays they just started a new batch of auctions, offering rare, original and edition street/urban/contemporary artwork.

The pieces offered were mainly donated by the artists themselves and are priced 50-70% of their retail value. From original pieces made especially for this cause to rare copies of sold out editions, this is a very unique opportunity to add something special to your collection. Previously auctioned works included original works by the likes of Escif, Ernest Zacharevic, Miaz Brothers, Fintan Switzer, Lonac, Rustam Qbic, Pez, etc, as well as editions by Martin Whatson, Icy & Sot, Sandra Chevrier, Fintan Magee, Pastel, Curiot, Ella & Pitr, etc. The funds raised were forwarded to Are You Syrious? initiative and used to buy food and shoes for the refugees, distribute help along the Balkan refugee route, finance the voyage of a Syrian family from Athens to Croatia and buy necessities for the New Year’s presents for the refugee kids. The new auctions include a copy of the latest sold out print by Vhils, an exclusive pack from Borondo that includes a book, a sketch and unique print on metal from his book release show in Rome, original pieces by Know Hope, Laura Keeble & Candice Tripp, Bordalo II, Daan Botlek, Rene Gagnon, 2Alas, Fraco Fasoli, Femke Hiemstra and many more.
