SAN DIEGO, California – PangeaSeed Foundation, in collaboration with Cohort Collective, Surfrider Foundation and Kaaboo Del Mar, just wrapped it up their 2nd edition of Sea Walls: Murals for Oceans mural festival in San Diego.
Non-profit organization PangeaSeed Foundation is continuing their worthy cause to harness the power of art, science and creativity to generate awareness, stimulate dialogue, change perception, and inspire positive change around pressing ocean environmental issues. Their newest edition of Sea Walls: Murals for Oceans, which focus on overfishing, plastics and pollution, global climate change and habitat loss through production of large-scale murals, will be taking place from March 11-20, 2016, in New Zealand.
For this event 29 renowned contemporary artists from across the world and New Zealand will beautify Napier’s streetscape and highlight marine environmental issues relevant to the local community. Bringing this unique project to the home to numerous endangered endemic species of flora and fauna both on land and in the ocean, the mural painting will be accompanied by educational field excursions and cultural tours for the artists, a public art exhibition, film screenings, and live art demonstrations. The list of participating artists include Aaron Glasson, Askew, Cinzah, Dirty Bandits, Faith47, Jason Botkin, Meggs, Phibs, Twoone and many more.
