Tom, Dick & Harry – CALM

CALM are a charity who focus on the much overlooked problem of suicide amongst young men and they’ve enlisted the help of some artists to highlight the cause.

Last weekend saw the artists of Soul Creative; 45rpm, Richt and Koze, braving the freezing conditions to put their mark on three billboards in Old Street. They painted the names Tom, Dick and Harry to reflect the three young men who take their own lives every day.

From the CALM website “Everyday three young men end their lives in this country, with suicide being the biggest killer of men under 35 in the UK. Only 1 in 10 of us are aware of the scale of the problem, so together with BMB, JCDecaux and Soulful Creative, we set about raising awareness of the facts in the most creative and eye catching way possible. Families and friends of those lost to suicide were also encouraged to lay flowers at the site in their memory.”

To find about more about the charity and how you can help you can visit their website here.
