Large scale muralist Faith47 has a show opening in Johannesburg tomorrow night (8th) entitled ‘Fragments of a Burnt History’ at David Krut Projects. The exhibition will be comprised of an installation of found objects and artwork created in her studio in Cape Town.

Hiro Kurata

Ivory and Black in Soho are hosting a new exhibition by Japanese artist Hiro Kurata from 9th November until 7th December. ‘This land was your land’ is Kurata’s first London exhibition and presents his interpretation of the traditional Western approaches to portraiture and still life as well as making comment on the Western confusions between race and culture. There will be a private reception with the artist on Friday November 9th from 6.30 – 9.00 PM – RSVP at rsvp@ivoryandblack.com.

ATG Eye in the Sky

Tomorrow night sees the opening of ATG’s show and book launch at Stolen Space, entitled ‘Eye In The Sky’.

The limited edition, hard-bound ATG book will be signed and numbered with a hand screen printed cover . The launch will also feature limited edition screen prints, originals and photographic work. Definitely worth checking out!

VNA visits Amsterdam…

So last weekend the VNA team visited the amazing city of Amsterdam…

Needless to say, we all loved it. There was plenty of graffiti and street art all over the joint, the people were dope, food was good, beer was expensive but good. Even though we missed the Project ASA by a week and the weather was kinda ropey, it was a great trip that I certainly wont forget in a hurry.

Londons rooftop bomber, Panik has a solo show opening at YOUR:OWN Gallery in Amsterdam soon. If you are in the Dam make sure you head on down and check it out…

Seems like the guys behind Your:own are really working hard to get some quality artists on the walls. Looking forward to checking the space out next month when we are in town.
