Cycling and mental health awareness project Headset open their first show, Wednesday 29th March 6pm – 9pm. The exhibition shows until Sunday 2nd April at M2 Gallery 4/450 Elizabeth St Surry Hills
At the very heart of every one of us, there is hope and there is love. However, life often gets in the way, and it gets harder for us to see it.
On the 13th of September, from 3-6pm, gifted Australian artists are uniting for the single cause of spreading the message of ‘R U OK?’, a non-for profit suicide prevention charity, encouraging and equipping everyone to regularly and meaningfully ask “are you ok?”
Artists will include Mike Eleven, Ape Seven, Frances Cannon, Isabelle de Kleine, FFIVE, Nikkimort, Kate Raq, Miranda Millen, Daniel McEvoy and many more. Local artists will also be performing, including singer Girlfriday and dancers from Elite Dance Studio.
The event will be held at Western Glow, a studio in West Melbourne.
Under the banner ‘Postcards 4 Change’, this event is aiming to showcase pieces that evoke hope and joy, raise awareness and reach the long-term goal of breaking the stigma of mental illness.
