French artist Lek,  member of the DMV crew, known for his exploration of the graffiti letters and abstract forms, is returning to Paris for his solo show at Galerie 42b.  On 3rd November the artist will present a series of works on canvas painted during his one year residency at the prestigious French Academy in Rome at the villa Medici.

Abstract works, with both energetic and precise painting strokes remind us of pages from a travel diary, glimpses of his city wanderings and urban explorations in the heart of the eternal city.

In parallel to the exhibition, the release of a fanzine will take us us deep inside the artist’s creative process. Across 36 pages, “Dissected Metropolis” invites the viewer to observe with a magnifying glass the texture effects that Lek confronts with his rigorous graphic designs. Released as a limited edition of 100 copies, numbered and signed by the artist, exclusively available at Spraymium shop.
