As a part of his ongoing “Ephemera” project that started in October 2014, Ludo recently painted a new series of works in the rural parts of the country.
Focusing on working in undeveloped villages the artist aims towards bring the light to these places full of history. The scenery of “lost China” seem to be the perfect setting for his futuristic works. Also, through his work the artist is pointing out one of the major problems of such urbanization – by moving to bigger cities for better jobs, a lot of adults are leaving their families and children in these deserted areas. Thanks to a charity campaign organized in collaboration with non-profit organization Tencent Foundation and major media Tencent QQ, this part of the project will help the “left-behind children” (around 61 million in 2015), finish schools and studies.
