Bicicleta Sem Freio are opening their 1st US show @ Fifty24SF

Few months after their successful London show, Brazilian duo, Bicicleta Sem Freio, will be opening their US debut @ Fifty24SF Gallery, San Francisco, in collaboration with Upper Playground and JUSTKIDS. For this show, the Brazilian illustrators and muralists, Douglas de Castro and Renato Perreira will showcase original work inspired by their love for hand painted poster art.
The works of Bicicleta Sem Freio has been recognized for their sharp line work, warm, vibrant colors and almost pshychodelic feel. With influences ranging from retro illustrations from 70s, 80s neon craze, comics and poster art, they’ve been commissioned by such names as Vampire Weekend, Jurassic 5, Kings of Leon and Beck among many. The works painted exclusively for this show are a great example of all these influences as seen from the preview images we just received. Along with presenting their first ever show in the United States, Bicicleta Sem Freio are gonna be painting a large mural in San Francisco as well. The show will open on the May 1st and will stay on view through June 15th.
