The ever busy D*Face graced the States with his presence to celebrate the US launch of his limited edition box, The Art of D*Face: One Man and His Dog and release of pendants with fine jeweler Stephen Webster.
Celebrations began with a private cocktail reception at Stephen Webster’s flagship store in posh Beverly Hills which included a panel discussion with Shepard Fairey, moderated by Stephen Webster. The two legendary artists regaled the crowd with tales from their days adorning the streets. The duo also released a special collaboration print,”FACE TO *FACE”, in an edition of 200.
For the limited edition pendants, Webster translated D*Face’s iconic wing motif into expertly crafted dog tags. While the pieces were innovative and shared D*Face’s signature charm, the must-see work was the painted military helmets displayed throughout the shop. D*Face painted, welded and added intricate touches to the authentic relics, found at the Rose Bowl Flea Market. Also on display, were D*Face’s latest paintings. If you are in the area, check out the exhibition which will run through March 4th.
