Our friends over at vinyl only record label, Bokhari Records are offering VNA readers a great opportunity.
Based in London with a strong design/art aesthetic, for every release they work with a different illustrator/artist/photographer to create the record sleeves. Past contributing artists include Ian Stevenson, John Slade and even a wood craftsman for one of their upcoming releases.
Now it’s time for one of YOU guys to design a sleeve (and labels if you wish) for release number 8. Whether you’re a street artist, illustrator, fine artist or even a sculptor you can get involved.
The competition launches in August and is open until the end of September.
Please email your design for a 12” vinyl sleeve to email@example.com and at the end of September, VNA and Bokhari will chose the person we think has something special.
We’ll then email the winner the music for that release, in case that sparks any additional inspiration, you will then they have until December to provide final artwork.
The winner will get 10 copies of the record they design, plus £100 and the accolade of having your designs gracing Bokhari Records releases, which are sold on Chemical Records, Juno Records and many more big name music destinations.
