Unhinged is a unique fusion of clubbing and arts from Berlin which will make its London debut when it opens its doors on Friday 23 November at Electric Brixton for a night of live music, visual arts, fashion and film.
A live painting session by street artist Blam will see a piece of his artwork created live at Unhinged, and projected across the venue for all to see. There will also be over 70 pieces of home-grown art on display at Unhinged, ranging from installations, canvases, photography and sculptures which will be suspended from the main ceiling over the dance floor. If the art wasn’t enough for you the main stage will also play host to Shlomo, Quixote, Ysan Roche, Lazarus and the Plane Crash along with special guests, then the creators of London’s biggest indie club night, Buttoned Down Disco, and festival stalwart Christian Laing will be rocking the dancefloor alongside Ghostpoet in the early hours.
Blam told us what we can expect to see from him on the night “My work at Unhinged will be a mixed media piece on wood and card and be 1 picture over 3 separate canvases, the image will be Samurai. It will be painted with both spray-paint and acrylic, apart from that there isn’t much more I can say as it will be a slightly experimental style for me to paint in and it will be good to see how it looks at the end.”
This promises to be a veritable feast of creativity set to the backdrop of one of London’s most infamous Punk and New Romantic venues. Not one to miss! Tickets can be found HERE
