Large scale muralist Faith47 has a show opening in Johannesburg tomorrow night (8th) entitled ‘Fragments of a Burnt History’ at David Krut Projects. The exhibition will be comprised of an installation of found objects and artwork created in her studio in Cape Town.

Ivory and Black in Soho are hosting a new exhibition by Japanese artist Hiro Kurata from 9th November until 7th December. ‘This land was your land’ is Kurata’s first London exhibition and presents his interpretation of the traditional Western approaches to portraiture and still life as well as making comment on the Western confusions between race and culture. There will be a private reception with the artist on Friday November 9th from 6.30 – 9.00 PM – RSVP at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Butterfly – Urban Masters
Butterfly has been photographing street art and graffiti as well as artists at work in their studios for years. She has teamed up with Opera Gallery London and ANV to present an alternative art installation giving street and urban artists a chance to render homage to the masters, masterpieces and muses that have influenced their journey through the world of art and played a part in who they are nowadays. Located in a former Victorian factory in Shoreditch, Urban Masters will present the works of 33 artists from the international graffiti and street art scene.
