Justified Scriptures- Niels Shoe Meulman

Niels Shoe Muelman has been on quite the ride this past winter with his Upside Down tour, and has landed on his feet here in SF with quill in hand ready to do some calligraffiti. Not really a quill, more like a broom and the finest brushes made with the hairs of a sable ready to produce some magic. Nonetheless, his calligraphy and graffiti inspired paintings are gorgeous. I don’t care where he puts them, in the hall, on the floor, on the wall, on a car hood, wherever they are they draw crowds in with lots of oohing and awing. As many calligraphists are, Shoe might still be on his quest for the perfect stroke, but from the looks of these photographs each stroke is different, elegant, and brilliant in it’s own way. Enjoy!
