BNE Water…

Graffiti artist BNE has gone all out on a pretty amazing project to bring clean drinking water to Jakarta, Indonesia under the name The BNE Water Foundation

Heres a bit about the project…

The BNE Water Foundation (Yayasan Benua Niscaya Era or Yayasan BNE in Indonesia) is a registered non-profit organization based in Jakarta, Indonesia and was founded by world famous artist BNE. We are dedicated to providing access to clean, safe water and sanitary living conditions to people living in poverty. We feel that access to clean water should be a basic human right, not a luxury.

BNE staff and volunteers work side-by-side with community leaders and other NGOs to bring sustainable water solutions to those in need. This includes fresh water wells, water filters, and rain catchments. To improve sanitary conditions we build latrines, hand washing stations, and provide basic hygiene and sanitation training.

Providing clean water to those in need is half of what we do. BNE is also a brand, truly for the people, by the people. Our brand is used as a platform to raise awareness of the world water crisis and to advocate other important issues as well. One person cannot change the world. When enough people change themselves, the world will have changed already. Considering this, we aim to inspire individuals, companies and corporations to make small changes in themselves for the greater good of humanity.

Mass overconsumption in the “first world” is one of the many reasons why poverty even exists. People are not going to suddenly start consuming less overnight, so we must incorporate activism and caring into commerce. 100% of profits from BNE products help fund clean water projects. By simply choosing BNE over another brand you will have helped fund a water project, and you will also be raising awareness by walking around with a logo that actually means something.

Through our gallery we are also uniting the worldwide art community in our fight. Generous artists from all over the world are helping us raise funds and awareness by donating works of art.

Providing the very basic element that all life needs to survive should not be such a widespread problem.

Join us and be part of the solution.

I just picked some of these sweet BNE stickers (100% of profits from BNE products help fund clean water projects)…

There are more items coming soon to the shop, but also there are some pretty rad pieces of art donated too, like this piece by Logan Hicks…
